This illustration represents how when we’re following a worldly lifestyle and not having Christ in the center it’s like if we were dead alive. We were all once like Lazarus in a way, dead in need of a savior. Nothing could remedy the situation until Jesus came into our lives and gave us life. I remember when I first converted, or “came back to Christ”, I went to a church and someone gave me this word from the Lord. He said that I had been dead but God brought me to life like Lazarus. I immediately started weeping and felt God’s presence in such an intense but loving way. I’ll never forget that day. This is what the illustration represents. When we were rescued by his immense mercy and love out of perdition and death!

Esta ilustración representa como cuando seguimos un estilo de vida lleno del mundo y no tenemos a Cristo en el centro. Es como si estuviéramos muertos en vida. Hasta cierto punto, todos éramos como Lázaro hasta que Jesús vino a nuestras vidas y nos dio vida. Recuerdo cuando me convertí , o “regresé a Cristo”. Fui a una iglesia y alguien me dio esta palabra de parte de Dios. Dijo que yo había estado muerto pero que Dios me resucitó como a Lázaro. Inmediatamente comencé a llorar y sentí la presencia de Dios de una manera tan intensa pero a la vez amorosa. Nunca olvidaré ese día. Eso es lo que representa la ilustración. ¡Cuando fuimos rescatados por su inmensa misericordia y amor de la perdición y la muerte!
